An all-time favourite strain, Jack Herer is named after the renowned cannabis activist, and the author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. He was a very prominent voice in the fight for cannabis decriminalization and legalization. His book continues to be an influential resource today even though he passed away in 2010.

The Jack Herer Strain was developed by Sensi Seeds in the 1980s or the 90s and has passed on its great qualities to other crossbred strains like Jack the Ripper, Jack's Cleaner, and Jack Skellington. Even though the exact genetic formula has been kept inside mysterious garb, it is thought to be a combination of Haze hybrid with Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk cross. 

The Dutch breeders at Sensi Seeds did a commendable job at recreating Herer's warm and positive personality into a reefer strain that offers recreational value to users around the world.

Growing Info - Jack Herer Strain

Jack Herer strain stands at the easy end of the spectrum when it comes to growing it. No matter where you're planning to grow this beauty, just make sure you have an ample amount of space since this one can grow up to 8 feet in certain cases. 

For outdoors, the temperature should remain between 72 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. If you're planning to grow it indoors and want to maintain the height, you can do that by topping and flowering soon after the plants take root. It has around a 7-10 weeks flowering period, which is typically longer than most cannabis plants. The Jack Herer strain produces almost 18 ounces of yield and is ready to be harvested mid to late September/October. 

It is also a fairly low maintenance plant with decent resistance to moulds, pests, bugs, powdery mildew, and more.

The usual words to describe the high of Jack Herer Strain is Happy, Relaxed, and Vivid. It has a strong onset without any delay, which culminates into a headrush that is more energizing than disarraying. It is a perfect pick-me-up strain and makes for a great conversation starter. I have had long meaningful conversations with my homies after ripping this beauty, and at the same time, have had funny unforgettable evenings. The entire spectrum of the strain is astonishing, and discovering what this perfectly balanced Sativa can do is a blessing. 

Once the initial strong high quietens, it is replaced by the sense of relaxation that originates from the neck as a tingle and spreads down to the limbs. It is not a couch-lock or immobilizing kind of leisure, but the kind that keeps you on the toes without the anxiety. This period is marked by a surge in creativity and is particularly great for brainstorming and visualization. The sense of ease also makes you free-flowing in conversation along with the happy, euphoric high. 

As the high begins your wear down, it brings a high tide of euphoria which makes you feel like you're floating on a cloud. The resultant artistic energy and creativity bring extreme pleasure. For those who are looking to wear down after a long day, this might not be the best strain to consume before sleeping, as you might have trouble closing your eyes and drifting to the dreamland.

Side-Effects

There are no over-the-top side-effects of Jack Herer strain. You might experience dry eyes and mouth, both of which can be battled by staying hydrated throughout the session. You can also get eye drops from a local pharmacy if the dry eyes persist.

Since the strain has a high THC content, it is advised to not overdose on it. People who are sensitive to High THC might experience paranoia and anxiety on overdose. Make sure you keep it limited to the dose that makes you feel happy and euphoric.
