[REVIEW] We Used the DynaVap M 2020 & Here is What We Think
We are discussing the recently launched DynaVap M 2020 Edition which is known for its sleek, smart design and many other unique features.
If you’re someone who counts vape as an essential smoking accessory, you’re at the right place. Even though vapes entered the paraphernalia market a lot later than other equipment like bongs which have been there since the cave era, they have gripped and made their mark in our heart and smoking sessions.
DynaVap bought their revolutionary portable vape and changed the vape game altogether. Without the need to recharge, the hassle of cable wires, and the ease of usage, it is perfect for those looking for a simple yet elegant toke.
I came across DynaVap while having a sesh at a friend’s house where his friends introduced me to it. To be honest, I was not very keen on using it with no temperature control, the need to light it up, and the constant confusion if the herb is well lit or not. Flash forward 2 years, and I am unable to use any other Vape than the DynaVap. It gets to you.
Many of you might’ve used their OmniVap or the 2019 M Edition and found something amiss or just completely fell in love with it. I am someone who is on the later scale and has been an enthusiastic follower of DynaVap. When they announced the 2020 Vape, I was a little concerned about what new features will be introduced. But hey, they have managed to surprise their customers again.
So let’s light up a smoke, and get on with the review.
I am starting with the basic introduction of the Vape for our friends who are strangers to the DynaVap here. If you want to read what is new with the M 2020 Edition, skip to that part below.
What is DynaVap VapCap?
To answer shortly, it is a manual vaporizer. And what does that mean?
It means you don’t have to charge it, carry a USB, a portable charger with you, and can smoke it just by lighting it up like a cigarette. In fact, VapCap weighs almost 2 grams and is the same size as a regular cigarette. You can just stash it in your pocket, and you won’t feel a thing.

How do you use the DynaVap VapCap?
It is as simple as you can imagine it to be. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- The first step is always to grind your herb. You can use a herb grinder, snap it with scissors, or just break it with your hand, whatever way you prefer.
- Load the herb in the tip, adjusting the dose on your mood and then placing the cap on it.
- Heat the cap with a lighter turning and twisting to get an even burn until you hear the click. Just remember you need to respect the click!
- Wait for the second click and then inhale from the mouthpiece.
- You can keep taking drugs until you hear a click which indicates you need to light it up again.
That’s it. All you need is a butane torch or lighter to heat your herbs and flowers and smoke them. If you think about it, it really is a hassle-free and discreet way to smoke. There is no need to set up an instrument, no need to clean up later, and certainly no need to worry about breaking them.
Attractive features of the VapCap
- The entire body of the DynaVap M 2020 Edition is made from stainless steel which renders it indestructible. You cannot bend or break it, which means your vape investment stays with you for a long time.
- The weight of the Vape is just 2 grams, almost invisible which makes it extremely portable and travel-friendly, not to mention discreet.
- The DynaVap M 2020 Edition VapCap can be disintegrated into five metal pieces and five silicone O-rings, making it extremely easy to clean.
Moving on to the Review- Let’s see what’s new and hot in the M 2020 Edition
Price
The DynaVap M 2020 Edition stands at 69 Euros which is considerably cheap if you look at the features it offers. With its indestructible stainless steel body and longevity, it is a pretty negligible investment.
New Features - DynaVap M 2020 Edition
The Package
DynaVap has introduced a new packaging with their M 2020 Edition. Instead of the traditional coloured plastic tubes, DynaVap has introduced a new VapCap shaped recycled cardboard package. Make sure you don’t throw this out as it acts as a case, and holds your device in place when open and locks when closed. It’s definitely easier to slide it into the pocket, but it is not water-proof or smell-proof. Many people have been missing the plastic tube (including me), but the environmental-friendly packaging is a step in the right direction.
The Captive Cap
Honestly, nobody expected an upgrade on the cap because it did function well. But DynaVap did their magic again and introduced two small indentations on the sides of the cap. The idea is to make it grip the cap better, so it does not slide off as it has happened to all of us. But the hold is not too tight that you cannot use it with your DynaStash.
The tight grip does not restrict its twist and turns movement and gives it a nice airflow without making your cap too tight or too loose.
Also, the new cap supposedly has stronger clicks both on the cool-down and warm-up. It is unlikely you’ll miss the click, ensuring you never burn a beautiful bowl of fresh bud.
The Faceted Tip
The new tip is the most attractive feature of the DynaVap M 2020 Edition for me. It is very different when compared to the 2019 Edition. DynaVap has constantly revolutionized their tip. We saw the 2018 M version with a triple helix, the 2019 one with serpentines, and finally, the 2020 M version has a faceted tip with horizontal airflow serrations.
You can see some indentations on the sides which match the captive cap to “lock” it in. For me, the coolest part of the tip is its adjust-a-bowl capability. The idea behind is that you can push the filter screen, i.e., the CCD forward or backwards to adjust the size of your herb chamber. If you like micro-dosing or those “flavour hits”
Another attractive feature mentioned to me by my homie (and might appeal to some of you) is the presence of the small little teeth on the front of the tip. It allows you to take a “bite” of your flower and buds, thereby eliminating the need for grinding it up. I love my herb very well ground (I use the Santa Cruz 4-part metal herb grinder), but if this is your jam, you have another reason to go for the DynaVap M 2020 Edition.
You have to be careful while scraping the last of the buds from your grinder with the tip as those teeth are sharp (not enough to cut) and might leave your herb grinder scratched.
The tapered mouthpiece
We have to agree the mouthpiece is a pretty essential part of the vape. If the mouthpieces have a weird feel to it, it takes away the fun from vaping. The DynaVap M 2020 Edition introduced the new groove that allows the O-rings to fit perfectly. This was a general complaint with the 2019 M DynaVap as getting the O-rings in place was a challenge after the cleaning process.
It also features a tapered mouthpiece which can fit any 10mm bongs, mini dab rig, or any other smoking accessory. The 2019 version also has the same feature but it didn’t fit very well with the 10mm equipment. DynaVap introduced a slightly smaller mouthpiece ensuring that it perfectly fits the female joints. We saw a similar feature in NonavonG and HydravonG, but with 14mm.
Chiral Airports
In VapCap M 2019, we saw one airport that regulated the flow. But in the new DynaVap 2020 M Edition, you see two airports placed in a “V” position. You can rock the device back-and-forth which opens and closes one side of the airport, rather than opening and closing the whole airport. It can lead to some interesting airflow patterns inside that help to clear the device.
You can try not covering the airports at all as this version is totally usable when you just don't cover your airports.
The New Look
The design of the DynaVap 2020 M Edition is a really awesome update from the 2019 version. I found the M cutaway makes it stand out and gives it a dapper look. It makes it stand out from the all previous version and gives it a complete look.
It also has a great feel and grip to it with faceted and deep vertical cuts.
What I didn’t like?
I honestly didn’t find anything that can be added to the “cons”. After using it for 3 months, I find that it gets even easier to handle, and you get used to the new features.
If you’re more used to the temperature setting and the charging feature, this may not be your jam, but I would recommend you to give it a try. I was in your clan but look at me, I am on the other side now. (No, I am not starting a cult)
