Genetics
The Genetic Lineage of the Super Silver Haze is an interesting one. Carefully bred by the two very famous breeders, Shantibaba and Neville, the growth of the strain initiated at the Greenhouse Seeds. The Sativa-dominant bud is curated by crossing Skunk, Northern Lights, and Original Haze. Of course, the product of such a magnificent cross could only result in something that would break all the records. Possessing the hand-picked best qualities from each of the parent strain, the Silver Strain went on to secure first place at the High Times Cannabis Cup in 1997, 1998, and 1999. It also boasts of a sizable THC content, ranging between 18-23 percentile.
Now that you are aware of where the sticky buds get their amazing characteristics from, let's move on to the rest.

How to Grow - Super Silver Haze Strain
I would not say it is a very difficult plant to grow, but it does require certain skills and experience, and hence, would not be the best option for a newbie. However, it is known to produce a higher yield when grown in controlled, hydroponic conditions rather than outside. This is mainly due to the hot, sunny, and equatorial climate demanded by the trichome-covered buds to grow completely. However, if you do have that kind of outdoor conditions, it makes for a more affordable option than growing outside.
The flowering period is around 9-11 weeks with the one harvested later having a beautiful, thick coat of trichomes giving it a very snowy, silvery sheen. That's where it gets the name from! If grown outdoors, it is harvested around mid to late October with approximately 15 ounces. If grown indoors, it typically yields around 19 ounces. On the other hand, it is pretty tolerant to pests, bugs, mould, mildew, and other diseases, making it a low-maintenance strain.
Appearance
Super Silver Haze Strain has a glorious combination of colours with earthy tones and brown buds, with the sugar leaves having a faded green colour with grey and pastel purple/pink accents. The inspiring combination of pastel green and orange-yellow nugs lends dynamism and depth to the strain, catching any eager cannabis-lover eyes.
The name of the reefer comes majorly from its appearance, which is quite similar to a starking white dress covered in crystals. It sure makes for a beautiful and mesmerizing sight. People also describe the buds as 'rolled is just-fallen snow', and the silver sheen leaves everybody in awe!
The resinous trichome covering will instantly make you realize the potency and hard-hitting nature of the bud, with the apparent long orange hair lending to the overall aesthetics.
Aroma - Super Silver Haze Strain
You cannot expect a completely flowery and sweet aroma from a strain that is covered in resin and is known for its high THC content. However, there is something extremely pleasant and inviting about the aroma of the Super Silver Haze. It sits on the very prominent earthy aspect of things that include spicy, skunky, diesel, or even sage-like notes. It is very reminiscent of the earth and keeps you grounded throughout the sniffing process.
On the fruity and flowery side of things, you might get a hint of sour citrus, menthol, and even pine, which might titillate your olfactories to dive in deeper. However, there is only skunkiness beneath the obvious sweet smell. Quite an aromatic ride, I must say!

Flavour & Taste
With an aroma so eccentric and skunky, you cannot expect the flavour to magically jump on the sweet spectrum. It stays on the side of diesel-like flavours, which is commonly described as spicy herbal. There is also a slight earthy factor that seeps in, along with a sharp citrusy exhale, & after-taste that plays with the taste buds for a long while. Some might even say it has a few eucalyptus notes, but you got to try it on your own to taste the varied flavour spectrum.
Effects - Super Silver Haze
Super Silver Haze strain packs a very unique and diverse effect that makes even the most experienced cannabis user take a step back and appreciate the dynamics. It has a very stimulating effect, yet it keeps you very grounded, calm and even focused in some cases. Really interesting to have both these qualities in the same bud. I mean, it is a super strain...
It is known for its long-lasting effects, intoxicating body high, and very focused, sharp energized mind that works great when combined with the overall effect of the strain. Even though it is not recommended for night consumption, it is a very good morning and evening strain.
Creatively inspired people use the strain to kick back and allow the ideas to overflow onto reality. The motivated and Stoney effect creates a sense of energy that works extremely well for creative motivation, overall energy, and enthusiasm. If you have been pending that artwork for a while now, this strain can help you efficiently execute it. The body high fills you with a kind of zeal and energy that just does not make you sit in a place. You will be jumpy, a little hazy, not very focused, but extremely energetic. Side Effects - Super Silver Haze
The SS Haze is now known for any such negative side-effect. Although, the high THC content does present a warning to the consumers to stay clear from high consumption.
The general side-effects include cottonmouth or dehydration and dry eyes. To avoid cotton-mouth and dehydration, consume plenty of fluids before, during, and after your session, as this will prompt the saliva glands to produce extra moisture. For dry eyes, keep lubricating eye drops in your house for when things get itchy, red, and dry.
